Introducing Learnhub
This is the first of a series of posts by start-ups either attending Bettr or who have expressed an interest but are unable to attend due to distance issues (despite what some people might think not everyone lives in London!)
LearnHub.com (similar to Facebook, except educational) offers a revolutionary approach through networked communities which focus on a specific subject. Anyone can create a community, share a lesson, have a discussion or debate, create a test, share an opinion and hold an online tutoring session at no cost.
Recognizing that experts come in all forms, LearnHub purposefully blurs the line between teachers and students. The web site makes learning online fun and engaging, and teaching online easy and effective; which systematically increases collaboration between both learners and educators.
Developed by Savvica in 2004, LearnHub's mandate is to improve education on a global scale by lowering the barriers to online education. The young, energetic team led by co-founders, John Phillip and Malgosia Green is based in downtown Toronto, Canada.
With more than 35,000 users and growing, LearnHub is poised to become the World's online education destination. Visit LearnHub's web site at: http://learnhub.com and see why people all over the world find LearnHub to be the perfect place to learn while they teach, and teach what they learn.
